Frank Lee Morris

Frank joined the US Marine Corps at age 17, serving from April 1952 to April 1955. He was sent to Korea toward the end of that conflict, first serving with the 4.2 Mortar Company, then transferring to C Company, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. Frank received three separate injuries during his Korean tour -  to his right leg, to his right hand, and to the back of his head, an injury requiring major reconstructive surgery. Frank was awarded three Purple Hearts and suffered through multiple hospital stays in his lifetime due to those injuries.

Frank worked as a Drivers Education Teacher and was named "Outstanding Professional Drivers Educator in Wisconsin" three consecutive years. While giving lessons to Elaine Wroblewski, he fell in love - giving Elaine a driver's license and marriage license eight months later. He and his beloved wife Elaine were active volunteers at Milwaukee's VA Medical Center, receiving the "Mr. and Mrs." Award after 25 years of faithful service. Frank was the proud father of nine children and, at the time of his death, grandfather of thirteen.
