Detailed Description of the Milwaukee Branch of the "National Military Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers" - Facts to Remember.

Probably no other one thing in or about Milwaukee will attract so much attention during the Encampment [of the Grand Army of the Republic] as the "National Military Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers" situated in this county; and for that reason a detailed description will, no doubt, be of interest to the many readers of the Official Bulletin.

This detailed account of the Home was written by Richard W. Corbett, Clerk and later Treasurer.

Additional photographs from this year can be viewed in the 1889 Souvenir Book.
